On the Home Front

Things are slowly getting down around the house. We ended up making a last minute trip to Edmonton this past weekend and of course that means we stopped at IKEA.

We came home with the MALM dressing table that will go in our bedroom, and I've ordered the greek key o'verlays to dress up the front of it (they will be spray painted gold). I should also mention that you can get 15% off at O'verlays right now. Perfect timing for me!

We had a look at those MALM mirror dressers too, but they looked kind of chintzy. They're rather metallic looking since they aren't faced with real mirror. So, I'm thinking we'll probably go with the Reflection Dresser from Urban Barn instead. It is more expensive but it's made with real mirror and should look much better than the IKEA option.

We got a few things for the kid's rooms which I'll show you eventually and we picked up this mirror for the mudroom. It has yet to be hung (and it looks much better in person).

Oh, and I finally got my hands on two of these pretty vases. They've been discontinued for forever and are finally back. Yay!

I'm hoping to add some art to the mudroom soon. Maybe some ginger jar prints from The Pink Pagoda.

And perhaps a black and white brushstroke piece. Something like these. (I'll have to get painting.)

I feel like I'm close to having the mudroom finished. It would be nice to have at least one room completely done so I will press on.

Hope you've had a good start to your week. I've had a very snowy start to mine!
